TV LIVE
OPEN-AIR EVENT

“Wenn die Musi spielt” is a live television production set against the backdrop of Carinthia’s Nockberge mountains and takes place twice a year – as a summer and winter open-air show. Since 2014, I have developed and been responsible for Stage Design, Lighting Design and Visuals Design for both productions.

The winter edition in particular places exceptional demands on stage, lighting and production. The open stage design has to blend into the landscape while creating a strong image for both the live audience and television cameras under completely different conditions.

DESIGN DNA
01

SEASONS

Summer and winter give the same show two completely different conditions and atmospheres.

02

LANDSCAPE

The landscape is not simply a backdrop, but part of the stage design. The design has to integrate with the location without losing its own identity.

03

STAGE

The open stage design creates a clear framework for performers and the show while remaining connected to the landscape.

04

LIGHT

Light shapes the stage and atmosphere and connects the live impact with the image created for the camera.

05

VISUALS

Visual content extends the stage design and is developed as part of the overall composition.

06

CAMERA

Perspectives and visual impact are developed so that stage, light and visuals work as one coherent whole on television.

07

LIVE EXPERIENCE

In the end, season, landscape, stage, light, visuals, camera and audience come together to create one shared live experience.
