An existing natural arena becomes a TV location. Stage Design, media surfaces and Lighting Design build on the existing architecture of the Kittenberger Erlebnisgärten and develop it into a coherent garden-party environment for music, dance and games.

THE LOCATION.
Gartenparty der Stars takes place in the existing natural arena of the Kittenberger Erlebnisgärten. The starting point for the Stage Design was therefore not to create an entirely new stage architecture, but to explore how the existing location could be preserved while being developed for a modern television production.
Existing elements were deliberately integrated into the design concept. A simple kiosk to the left of the stage, for example, was transformed into a vertical garden. Its two existing serving openings were used precisely for two large screens, turning them into modern media surfaces within the existing architecture.
Functionally, the location also had to meet very different requirements. A dedicated game area was needed for the “Garden Challenges”, while the existing stage was extended towards the front to provide enough space for artists and dancers during the musical show segments.
The result is a television-ready garden-party location within the existing natural arena, where architecture, nature, stage, media surfaces, game areas and lighting do not appear as separate elements, but become part of one coherent overall environment.

ARCHITECTURE
Existing architecture and nature remain visible and deliberately become part of the new TV location.
ADAPTATION
Existing elements are developed functionally and visually to meet the requirements of the television production.
MEDIA
The serving openings of the former kiosk are used precisely for two large screens and integrated into the vertical garden.
STAGE
The existing stage is extended towards the front, creating the necessary space for artists and dancers.
GAME SPACE
A dedicated game area provides space for the Garden Challenges within the ongoing show.
LIGHT
The Lighting Design connects architecture, nature, stage and media into one coherent overall image.
CAMERA
The spatial and visual design is developed around the requirements and perspectives of the television cameras.
