LIVE CONCERT

Dutch Divas & Friends brings outstanding musical theatre voices together with an exceptional live band. Apart from the musical director, the band consists entirely of female musicians – all outstanding performers in their field. The band is therefore not simply musical accompaniment, but an essential part of the staging and stage design.
The musical range extends from powerful rock numbers to very intimate moments in which, for example, only a viola and a singer fill the stage. Within the same “rock ’n’ roll stage”, the lighting design has to create the completely different worlds of the individual musicals and make those transitions feel convincing.
As LED walls are not available at every show, the entire design is developed so that the production works completely even without visuals. When media surfaces are available, the visuals extend the staging rather than replace it.
For the visuals, I develop an individual visual world for every song. The design ranges from custom-created content and real imagery to simple VJ loops. The medium itself is not what matters – the idea is. The visuals create atmosphere and space, respond to lyrics and reinterpret well-known musical classics, sometimes with a touch of humour.
zactrack gives the singers maximum freedom. They can fully focus on their performance without having to hit fixed lighting positions. The follow system makes the light a companion to the performance – rather than making the performance a prisoner of the light.

BAND
An exceptional live band is a visible part of the show. Apart from the musical director, it consists entirely of female musicians and is deliberately given a strong presence within the stage design, remaining visible and connected to the audience throughout the venue.
STAGE
A “rock ’n’ roll stage” provides the common framework for completely different musical worlds. The stage design creates structure while keeping singers, band and performance connected.
LIGHT
From a powerful rock song to an intimate ballad with only one singer and a viola: the lighting design creates an individual world for every song. At the same time, it is designed so that the show retains its full impact even without LED walls and visuals.
VISUALS
The visuals create atmosphere and space, respond to lyrics and reinterpret well-known musical classics – from custom-created content and real imagery to simple VJ loops, sometimes with a touch of humour.
ZACTRACK
Tracking gives the performers complete freedom of movement. They do not have to hit fixed lighting positions, but can fully focus on their performance while the light follows their movements in real time.
