CLEVER

A TV game show whose Stage Design makes the game concept spatially visible. Two clearly separated team worlds, central puzzle and game areas and a 360° set create the framework for knowledge, challenge and entertainment.

EXPLORE PROJECT
THE PROJECT

TWO SIDES.
ONE CHALLENGE.

The Stage Design translates the concept of the show directly into the space. The scientists are seated on a raised platform – deliberately reflecting the idea of “those up there” – while the clever challengers are positioned at a table on the opposite side.

Both areas are clad with media-capable screens and LED surfaces. Names, scores and game-related information therefore become a direct part of the Stage Design. Between the two teams is the central LED wall, where the visual puzzles are presented.

An additional large game area provides space for more elaborate challenges and can be rebuilt for upcoming games while the show is in progress. The entire set is designed as a 360° TV set and works from the different perspectives of the cameras.

The Lighting Design combines precise TV key lighting and clear visibility of the game areas with suspense, transitions and show-lighting effects. Show Programming connects the different show states with the flow of the game. The teams’ MIDI-based buzzer control system was also developed by NW DESIGN CONCEPT and integrated into the show workflow.

01

CONCEPT

The game concept becomes the starting point for the spatial and visual structure of the show.

02

TEAMS

Scientists and challengers are deliberately given different positions and clearly recognizable spatial identities.

03

SCREENS

Media-capable screens and LED surfaces integrate names, scores and puzzle content directly into the Stage Design.

04

GAME SPACE

A dedicated game area provides space for elaborate challenges and can be rebuilt while the show is in progress.

05

360° SET

The set is designed as a fully playable television environment and works from different camera perspectives.

06

LIGHT

TV key lighting, clear visibility and show-lighting effects combine the requirements of a puzzle game show with visual dynamics.

07

CONTROL

Show Programming and the MIDI-based buzzer control connect lighting, gameplay and technical functions.

08

CAMERA

Stage and Lighting Design are developed from the outset for the different perspectives and requirements of the television cameras.
